Welcome to the virtual Face Your Elephant tent. Its a bit like the one we take to festivals around the UK, but without the mud and lingering smell of warm beer. Check out our video feed on the right which features a bunch of movies from festivals and events we've attended recently. Also see if you can spot yourself on the photo feed below, and feel free to add your own at our flickr page.
We are a peer education group made from members of the Woodcraft Folk and De Montfort University. As part of our project we are trying to develop a sense of what the public know and think about climate change through our Face You Elephant Survey. We are also collecting information about peoples carbon footprint. How do you score in relation to the national average of 12.5 tons / 2 elephants of carbon dioxide per year. Find out using our Carbon Calculator
Zero Carbon Britain 2030 provides a framework to cut emissions by 2030, but also scientists and engineers getting involved to develop new technologies and improve existing systems. We are working with Julie's Bicycle is a partnership between Record Labels and Festival Organisers in the UK to look at how the music industry can cut down on energy usage. Their study into emissions at music festivals looks at how to reduce transport emissions, and is worth a look if you are planning on going to an event this summer.
