Reducing Carbon Emissions by Households: The Effects of Footprinting and Personal Allowances

Over 40% of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions stem from energy use in the home, personal car use and airline flights. This research investigates how households might respond to a system of personal carbon rationing, and in particular what they might do to lower their carbon footprints.
